Tech Bit #12 - Poll Everywhere

Tech Bit

Instant feedback in class can greatly improve understanding and promote interactivity. Although clickers (an Audience Response System) are a wonderful way to receive feedback from students during class, they can be expensive.

Poll Everywhere, a free-to-use service, allows users to receive various feedback from students using technologies they already own. With Poll Everywhere, students can answer multiple choice or open-ended questions via a cellphone, a webpage, or Twitter. The results are instantaneous and viewable online in graph form or directly from a PowerPoint. The free version is limited to 30 responses per poll, but you can create as many polls as necessary.
