Tech Bit #2 – Zotero

Tech BitAlthough not specifically a teaching tool, Zotero can be very helpful for upper upperclassmen or in your own research. Zotero is an “easy-to-use Firefox extension to help you collect, manage, and cite your research sources.” Once installed in Firefox, you can add a research source to Zotero’s library with helpful information such as date accessed/updated, URL, and even a picture of the website. All this information can be combined and saved to a word processor in over 1100 styles of citation (including MLA, APA, or Chicago Manual of Style). As a bonus for collaborators, libraries can be exported/imported to accommodated shared sources. Zotero’s website hosts many help guides for using Zotero. If you have additional questions, please contact the IMG.
