Tech Bit #36 – Creative Commons Search

Tech Bit

We’ve mentioned Creative Commons in a previous Tech Bit, however, searching through all of those files can be tedious. But there is an easier way: CC Search. From the CC Search website:

[CC Search] gives you quick and easy access to the freely licensed content available from many of the world’s top content providers. The metadata attached to our licenses allow content providers easy ways to search within their libraries for licensed content. Learn more about CC Search works. CC has no control over what you find with this tool, and as such the results may not be Creative Commons licensed.

As with everything under Creative Commons, be sure to give proper citation and a link to the original source. Otherwise, CC Search is a great way to find videos, custom icons, and other materials.
