Fall workshops for October are now available for registration. IMG introduces two more workshops: KompoZer and Podcasting through Keynote. KompoZer is an open source (free!) alternative to Dreamweaver that novice webmasters will find easier to use. KompoZer can be used to develop new sites or edit/modify existing sites. The Keynote workshop will help participants learn to design presentations, add narration, and create podcasts using Keynote. Participants will need to bring a Mac with Keynote 09 installed.

IMG also offers Blackboard Quick Starts, PowerPoint 2007 refreshers, and other podcasting workshops as well.

To help faculty prepare for Summer semester, IMG will offer two Blackboard Quick Starts just before classes begin.

The workshops are scheduled for:

9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19th
1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20th

Workshops for Blackboard, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop are being offered initially; workshops on other topics will be added later. Contact IMG at 844-5181 if you have any questions.

Registration for Blackboard Quick Start workshops is now available online at this link:  https://fp.auburn.edu/IMG/SummerReg/seminars.aspx . These sessions are designed for anyone teaching in Fall 2008 and will cover best practices for using Blackboard as well as course design. Part of the session will include the basics of Blackboard (setting up a course, different course types, Blackboard navigation, using basic tools); another part of the session will be an open question-and-answer session. Participants are encouraged to bring files to upload. Registration is open to anyone teaching this fall. Anyone not teaching but interested in learning to use Blackboard should contact the Instructional Media Group at 844-5181

Spring workshop offerings by the IMG are now available for registration at http://www.auburn.edu/img (click on the “Seminars” tab). New workshops being offered include Podcast training sessions, in anticipation of integrated AU iTunes, and Blackboard Plus, advanced uses of Blackboard tools. Contact IMG with questions: 844-5181.
